About the Program

Why does Dr. G's WeightLoss and Wellness program have so much better success rates than its competitors?
+

While many components go into making our program so successful, above all, our success rate can be attributed to the fact that we treat the underlying causes of your weight gain with a highly individualized medical program based on the results of your at-home medical exam.

If I join, will I always have the same physician or do I see someone different each time?
+

It depends on availability (yours and your physician). Whenever possible, we organize your follow-up calls with the same physician you spoke with upon your first visit.

Do I ever meet my physician in person?
+

No. Your initial visit is with a nurse practitioner who performs an onsite medical evaluation in the comfort of your home. Any follow-up medical appointments with your physician will be online.

How do I know what my weight loss goals are?
+

Every patient is different. As a result, you and your personal wellness coach will be responsible for setting your weight loss goals.

Will someone coach me with my exercise and diet routine?
+

Yes! You will be assigned a personal wellness coach who will provide you with a nutritious eating plan, dietary guidance, and advice for sound exercise habits.

Will I have to eat any special food?
+

No. But you will need to follow the dietary guidelines set out by your personal wellness coach. This includes minimizing your intake of foods that are high in fat, sugar, and simple carbohydrates to promote healthy blood sugar levels, and choosing items that are high in nutritional value and low on the glycemic index.

Do you have a wellness coach on staff?
+

Yes. We have a team of wellness coaches on staff to assist our weight loss patients on their journeys toward better health and wellness.

Will I speak with someone about my nutrition?
+

Yes. Your personal wellness coach will give you important information about making better dietary choices, what are the best types of food to be eating in order to get results, and what a sound eating plan looks like.

Is the VWL plan for men and women?
+

Yes. We treat both men and women who are interested in embarking on a medical weight loss journey.

Can I join the VWL program from anywhere?
+

Does the VWL plan work for all ages?
+

To be eligible for our program, participants must meet our criteria. For those under the age of 18, we assess eligibility on an individual basis.

What is the length of the program?
+

Our weight loss program begins with a minimum of 3 months and, based on your weight loss goal, can continue beyond this period up to 12 months to maximize your results and ensure that you have successfully adopted healthy new eating habits to keep you on track.

What will my schedule be like during my Dr. G's WeightLoss and Wellness program? Do I see my personal wellness coach regularly?

After your initial consultation with your physician, you will have a 15-minute video call with your personal wellness coach each week to help keep you on track. In addition, you will speak to your doctor online once per month.
